Is it necessary to have an air purifier in each room, or can one air purifier suffice for the entire house?
 

Why


Air purifiers in each room can help maintain optimal air quality throughout your home. However, a single air purifier might not be sufficient for the entire house, especially if it's large or has multiple levels. This is where the BeSpoke MOVE, a self-navigating trailer for Samsung air purifiers, becomes useful. It's designed to move the air purifier between rooms, ensuring that each area benefits from purified air without needing multiple devices. Is it necessary to have an air purifier in each room, or can one air purifier suffice for the entire house?


 

Key Features



1. Self-Navigation: It boasts mecanum wheels, allowing it to navigate seamlessly through rooms with high-motion freedom.

2. Height Adjustment: A scissor-jack mechanism enables the device to adjust its height, effectively cleaning areas typically out of reach for humans.

3. Collision Prevention and Mapping: Utilizing IR sensors and LiDAR ensures safe movement around the home by avoiding obstacles and creating accurate room maps.

4. Intelligent Control: All functionalities are effortlessly managed via the SmartThings app, providing a user-friendly interface for complete control over the device's operations.



 

Participation


In this team, my responsibilities were focused on the technical and design aspects of the project:


1. Sensor Selection: My role involved carefully reviewing and selecting sensors, ensuring they were ideally suited for our device's functionality.

2. Upper Module Design: I was responsible for designing the upper module of the device, which included strategically arranging the LiDAR system for effective spatial mapping and navigation.

3. Visualization with Blender: I used Blender to create detailed visualizations of our concept, effectively bringing our ideas to visual form and aiding in the communication and development of the project.
